Saxbys University of Pennsylvania

The first step in a great journey, this was our first re-branding of a Saxbys coffee café.

Our goal was to re-design, modernize and create a true connection to the historic University of Pennsylvania campus. We took a tired, dark space and transformed it into a bright and energetic café. A redesigned and extended café counter is a primary focal point, drawing customer’s vision diagonally across the space at entry. The aesthetic is a modernized library, with simple raised paneling and integrated student artwork.

Following renovations, this café became so popular that students would text friends when they were leaving to hold seats until they arrived.
