This James Beard Award nominated restaurant selected Eimer Design to adapt, refine and elevate their original Princeton concept for a new, larger and more challenging location.
Building on the concept of elevated but approachable Mediterranean inspired cuisine, Eimer Design developed materiality inspired by the colors, hues and textures of nautical European coasts. Tones of blue in hand-painted patterns were used to create a strong texture at open chef’s counters and the large, central bar. Nautical ropes create ceiling planes that are pierced by stylized contemporary light fixtures.
An elevated lounge is placed between the bar and front glass wall and provides a casual and stylized option for diners. This area is edged with a natural gas fireplace and has become the most popular area of the restaurant.
